Exterior storage of containers, machinery or supplies
The Exterior Storage Application Form is used to request the allocation of a parcel of Category I Land for the purpose of storing containers, machinery or supplies temporarily. No exterior storage is permitted on Category I Land without prior authorization from the Landholding Corporation (LHC). The LHC reserves the right to remove and dispose of any materials, containers, or equipment stored without authorization.
How to Request a Lot for Exterior Storage
-
Application
The promoter must complete the Exterior Storage Application Form and submit it to the concerned LHC. The application must specify the proposed lot, its dimensions, the type of storage, and the expected duration of use.
Please note that submitting an application does not constitute permission to use or occupy Category I Land, nor does it authorize the storage of any containers, machinery or supplies.
-
Review and Approval
The LHC reviews the Exterior Storage Application Form and, if accepted, allocates a parcel of land for the storage. The LHC reserves the right to accept or refuse any application at its sole discretion.
-
Signature of a Land Lease for Temporary Exterior Storage
If approved, the LHC allocates a parcel of land for the storage. A Temporary Land Lease Agreement is then prepared for the rental of the lot. Rent becomes payable as soon as the lot is awarded.
Lots are allocated in increments of 10,000 sq. ft. (approximately 929 m²), which also represents the minimum lot size for this type of lease. The rental rate is set at $30,000 per year (billed annually) or $3,500 per month (billed monthly).
At the end of the lease term, all materials, containers, and supplies must be removed, and the parcel must be returned to the LHC in good condition.
