Sakkuq Kuujjuaraapik

Sakkuq means « bullet » in Inuktitut.

Kuujjuaraapik meaning « little great river” in Inuktitut is Nunavik’s southernmost community. It is located on the shores of Hudson Bay at the mouth of the Great Whale River. Kuujjuaraapik is Nunavik’s southernmost village. It is also unique as it is a bicultural community of Inuit and Cree. The Cree community is called Whapmagootsui.
